The author considers an Oregon state law enacted after the Supreme Court ruled that states had the power to enact physician-assisted suicide regulations. This article offers an analysis of the Oregon Death With Dignity Act and associated Task Force Guidelines. These are reviewed for their legal content as well as their ethical composition.
