This Article addresses the challenge of teaching a section of the Uniform Commercial Code establishing rules for transactions involving negotiable instruments. Article Three dares instructors to become creative with class lessons, and this article engages instructors with strategies for engaging students, specifically with humorous acronyms, that lead to some memorable phraseology. In this environment, students become active learners of the requirements of negotiability, holder in due course status and their relevant defenses.
